it has always been a wish of mine to have the opportunity to photograph a real couple. passion is surely something that can be imitated when preparing for a photo; however, no matter how real the love appears to be between two models, sometimes it just does not illustrate what remains long after the camera is removed from the equation. i spoke to destiny long before i spoke with collins, and it was only after a few conversations that learned that the two agency-represented models were actually a couple! i felt that maybe i could finally have the chance to shoot a bona fide couple, but the process was not without its ups and downs. there were so many things that could have gone awry, and a few things actually did. first of all, i was working around my packed summer schedule, which consisted of traveling back and forth between cities to ready myself for my long summer in america and the beginning of my freshman year of college in august. to add to the difficulty, i was also operating around the agendas of two professional models, working through the hustle-and-bustle of summertime in the city. we experienced one initial cancellation that may have resulted in something more permanent had destiny not been so wonderful and understanding. it was because of her and collins negotiating their schedules and me pushing through to create a window of opportunity that we all reached a date to agree upon. these photos here are the result of love: the passion between both models and my unyielding infatuation with the beauty of photography.
